Emblem

          The illumination stands for knowledge. The pair of bangled hands carrying the lamp of knowledge is symbolic of the sacred role played by a woman preceptor in ushering her words from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. It is the evolution of Vidya. The Veena below emphasizes the need for the promotion of fine Arts in curriculum. The four lotus petals enshrining the emblem represent the four legends of Learning Knowledge, Progress and Service. Underneath the emblem is the college motto: "ARS LONGA VITA BREVIS". Art is long, life is short.
